We focus on six areas where financial barriers most often keep girls and teams from the game.

Helping eligible families overcome financial barriers to participation.
Registration and program costs can keep a girl off the field before she ever gets started. Player scholarships are designed to help eligible families cover a portion of those costs so that interest and commitment — not finances — determine who gets to play.

Helping eligible teams and organizations access competitive and developmental opportunities.
Tournaments are where players test themselves, learn from new competition, and grow together as a team. Support for tournament fees helps eligible teams and organizations take part in competitive and developmental events they might otherwise miss.

Helping players and teams obtain necessary softball equipment.
Gloves, bats, helmets, catcher's gear, and uniforms add up quickly. Equipment support helps players and teams get the safe, properly fitting gear they need to practice and compete with confidence.

Supporting experiences that strengthen teamwork, belonging, and personal growth.
Some of the most lasting lessons happen off the field — at team events, clinics, and shared experiences that build trust and belonging. We support experiences that help girls grow as teammates and leaders.

Helping reduce the financial burden of travel for eligible softball opportunities.
Opportunities to play aren't always close to home. Travel assistance is intended to ease the cost of getting to eligible softball opportunities so that distance isn't the deciding factor.

Supporting access to fields, practice spaces, and facilities.
Players and teams need safe, available places to practice and play. We support access to fields, practice spaces, and facilities that serve girls across the softball community.
Financial assistance and program support are subject to eligibility, available funding, and approval by Friends of United Softball.
